I'm replacing the RH side cowl panel on my 69, but there is a triangular piece of the firewall that's rotted also. I can't find it in any catalogs. It's the piece that's outboard of the wheelwell attachment, down low and angled downward. Kind of an extension of the toe board. I'd post a pic but I'm at work. Any help? DJ

I bought some parts off a Guy in chandler AZ and he has a 69 fb that he cut in half I bought most of the car he has the front left. He might be willing to cut that section off and mail it to you. Check Phoenix craigslist
It's this triangular piece. It got kinked from a minor fender bash many years ago, I straightened it out to the point where I can attach the outer cowl to it. If I can find one, I'd cut it out of there, otherwise I may just leave it.

hi D J,that piece you can get i am in the mist of doing it right now on my 69.it comes in two pieces.lots of spot welds to remove this peice.i got mine at classic ind.you will have to remove inside kick panel.they welded in spots that are hard to see.good luck jim
Hey Jim, I don't suppose you need the same piece on the drivers's side? I have a complete new one that I separated from the inner rocker I needed. Let me know if you want it, cheap for a local guy (read: free).
Thanks Grant, can't use it just now. I haven't taken off the driver's fender to check but that area looked good in general. The passenger side rotted out due to a massive mouse hotel in the cowl. 2 buckets full of stuff! DJ
